Caring support. The caring support I received from others meant a great deal to me when I was nursing our babies. As part of our planning to make Lact-Aid System available, we were dedicated to offering similar support to our customers. From the very beginning, we have made it a point to be available to our Lact-Aid customers for free technical support and lactation consulting services. Everyone at Lact-Aid takes great pride in our personalized service, and in being one of the few companies today where a customer can talk right to "the boss". Just call (423)744-9090 and ask for me, the Lact-Aid Lady, or email me, Jimmie Lynne Avery, Executive Director, by sending email to me at jlavery@lact-aid.com In addition, many of Lact-Aid's product suppliers are lactation consultants or knowledgeable health professionals experienced in lactation education.

redph1.jpg (941 bytes)Toll-Free Ordering, in USA. We have added a toll-free ordering line, for even more convenience in placing your orders. Call 1.866.866.1239.   If you are ordering outside the USA, or need lactation   consulting, information, or technical support, call 1.423.744.9090 (not toll-free).

Education for Informed Choice.  Educational publications on breastfeeding and related topics developed and published by Lact-Aid have become classics in maternal and infant health literature. Most lactation consultants have read, or seen bibliographies that cite articles that appeared in Keeping Abreast Journal, and the articles and monographs based on the Study of Relactation and Induced Lactation conducted by Kathleen G. Auerbach, Ph.D. and Jimmie Lynne Avery. Many KAJ back issues, and the relactation study reports are available from the Bookstore. Check it out for these and other valuable titles. New materials are continually being developed, including titles you will be able to access free, in our growing Library of online reports, FAQs and bibliography! So, you will want to visit us often to get new titles as they become available.

Technical Assistance.  Lact-Aid has developed and presented continuing education seminars and workshops on breastfeeding support. In fact, prior to the formation of training and certifying programs like those now available from groups like BSC, ILCA, LLLI, UCLA, Wellstart, and others, Lact-Aid pioneered certification of lactation consultants from 1982 to 1984. Lact-Aid has helped several institutions, federal and state health agencies, and health organizations develop continuing education course offerings, and has served as a consultant to the Argentine Pediatric Society.

WWW: Email Lists, Message Boards, & Online Chat Rooms. The opportunity to establish virtual headquarters on the world wide web has been providing exciting new opportunities for outreach. At Lact-Aid, we are all looking forward to the challenge of developing new materials and services to offer our customers through this exciting medium.  Also, with the advent of the internet and email, new opportunities for learning, communicating and sharing have appeared.   Forums such as message boards, email list groups, and online forums or chat rooms enable consumers to gather information and share their experiences and views.  There are many which focus on breastfeeding topics.  Among those, many also include some discussion of nursing supplementer systems.  The positive aspect of such e-resources is that they can serve as open and unbiased forums where opinions can be freely expressed, whether positive or negative.  To help assure that such resources remain open and unbiased, Lact-Aid refrains from advertising on, or sponsoring such resources.  Likewise, we do not sell Lact-Aid products at wholesale to their owners for resale to their members or subscribers, nor do we offer special discounts to members or subscribers.  Through this approach, we help maintain freedom of informed choice   for everyone contemplating use of a nursing supplementer system.

Your Comments:   Lact-Aid has always welcomed feedback from customers in order to develop and improve products and services. We hope that as a visitor to www.lact-aid.com you will also share with us your comments, suggestions and questions.
